FAQ

What are twitwoops?

twitwoops are voice messages which you send into your twitter timeline directly by calling a number with your phone. Your voice message is instantly posted to your twitter timeline. So if you are on the go and want to update your followers (or should we say listeners?) about what you are doing: call in and leave a twitwoop.
To use twitwoop you will need to register your phone at twitwoop.com. After registration you can instantly use twitwoop with your registered phone and send voice messages up to 140 seconds long (hey, that's Twitter style).

What are reply codes?

Using reply codes you can either reply to a voice message or reply to a user directly. Using a voice message reply code, your message will be sent as a reply to an existing message. Your message can be answered as well. This creates a voice discussion on twitwoop.

Alternatively each user on twitwoop has a sticky user reply code. If you are sending a reply using a user reply code, your message will be sent directly to the user's direct message inbox on Twitter (The receiving user must be one of your followers to receive your message directly in his inbox). If the user does not follow you, your message will be sent into your public timeline using the @USERNAME syntax well known on Twitter.

How can I record a twitwoop?

Once your phone has been registered you can call any twitwoop phone number. Our voice service will be pleased to take your call and help you to step through the recording process. Don't worry - it's a simple voice menu, which let's you easily navigate simply by pressing the keys on your phone's keypad.

Your login data is NEVER entered at twitwoop.com but only at twitter.com. twitwoop and twitter are communicating using a secure token.

Is there a limit in the number of phone registrations?
